From our Director, Julia Sanderson
_Dear Friends
of Pamtingpa Buddhist Center,
We are so happy to share all the exciting events and activities from the last year with you all. It has been an auspicious one as we continue to grow and develop as a center while working on our long-term projects under the guidance and direction of FPMT spiritual director Lama Zopa Rinpoche and Maitripa College director Yangsi Rinpoche, along with local members of the ordained sangha who so graciously agree to help.
In review going back to November 2010, while at his retreat home in WA, Lama Zopa Rinpoche came to give us a public teaching on the Vajracutter (Wisdom Gone Beyond) Sutra at the CCC where we have our center upstairs. We were so lucky to have the opportunity of this event and to have the gompa blessed by our guru. We were also given advice and encouragement to continue our dharma practice and projects. These include the building of a Stupa up on our land outside of Tonasket and the learning of the dance of the 21 Praises of Tara that we plan to offer to our gurus and the public with a large Tara Thangka .
Please enjoy reading this list of Pamtingpa’s accomplishments of 2011:

Looking back over the year I feel how lucky we are to have this precious opportunity to practice dharma together in study and meditation. Thank you for your support and friendship of Pamtingpa Buddhist Center, we are interdependent and growing together. May you blossom in the coming year of the Water Dragon finding hope, peace, love and happiness in 2012.
“Dwelling deep within our heart, and within the hearts of all beings without exception, is an inexhaustible source of love and wisdom. And the ultimate purpose of all spiritual practice whether they are called Buddhist or not, is to uncover and make contact with this essentially pure nature.”
FPMT founder Lama Thubten Yeshe
